I used a mixture of psyllium husk and powdered flax seed instead of the powdered chia seed and cooked for 45 mins instead of an hour as it seemed ready, and it was. I am excited about trying this recipe. Then I fold the fluff into the batter-a bit difficult but it gets done eventually, sometimes I have to bring the bottom batter up to the top? Notes Psyllium husk powder is the most important ingredient in this recipe and cannot be subbed by any other ingredient.

But since I can be quite stubborn haha I actually never gave up and continued with the recipe testing…. One day, I started experimenting with gluten-free pizza dough that contains psyllium husk powder. One recipe was from a German blogger , and she inspired me to give psyllium husk a try. I tweaked her recipe and used a different flour blend and the bread turned out amazing! I was shocked by how great it turned out, especially since the bread is wheat-free and therefore gluten-free , and egg-free vegan!

I totally meant to share it before easter but then LIFE happened. I actually just set it reclpe the oven right now as we speak. If your All purpose gluten free flour does not have xanthan gum be sure to add in at least one tablespoon. Soy free and nut free, too.
